Bad UX is visible

My drama with Figma Community

Hey reader,

💔 My heart is shattered as I sit here, tears streaming down my face in front of my computer. Something really sad has occurred while I was cleaning up my Figma files. What’s that? I deleted the invaluable portfolio template that I shared with my community just last week. It had been downloaded nearly 400 times, and now it's vanished into thin air! While I could certainly create a new one, the loss of all the wonderful likes and comments is utterly heart-wrenching. After pouring my heart and soul into its creation, this turn of events is especially difficult to bear.

To make things worse, this is not the first time I've accidentally deleted an important community file. You may be wondering what is causing the problem. The answer is UX. Unfortunately, Figma lacks a clear indicator to distinguish community-owned files, and there are no mechanisms in place to prevent users from making such regrettable mistakes. It leaves me wondering why Figma hadn't addressed this issue earlier, given their reputation for delivering exceptional products.

As a devoted Figma user since 2018, this experience has left me disappointed for the first time. Since the original file is now lost, I’d love to ask for a big favour. I’d love for you to leave a ❤️ or download the file again using the following link.

Together, we can boost its engagement up again, ensuring it receives the attention it deserves. Your support means the world to me.

I’ll be back soon with Config news and updates!
