The importance of a case study framework
Grab your Figma template
Hey reader,
After procrastinating for weeks, I am thrilled to announce that I’ve found the perfect name for my newsletter. Going forward, "Design Your Passion" will be known as "UX Diaries."
Why "UX Diaries"? First and foremost, "UX Diaries" is a fun, simple, and easily memorable name. It has a catchy ring to it, making it easier for people to recall and share with others. Secondly, the name "UX Diaries" perfectly embodies the essence of my newsletter. It serves as a platform for me to share my thoughts, insights, and the things that genuinely excite me in the world of UX. It's like reading my personal diary, but in the form of a newsletter!
Transform your case studies into compelling narratives
Anyways, this is not why I’m sending you this newsletter. After weeks of procrastination and several iterations, I'm thrilled to present my latest creation: a case study template designed specifically for product designers. This simple framework has been a game changer for my own case studies, and now I'm making it available to you, absolutely free of charge!
To help you make the most of the template, I've created a video tutorial that walks you through setting up your portfolio in Figma. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment on YouTube or reply to this email.
As a dear subscriber of my newsletter, I wanna share some valuable advice that has helped me maximise the impact of my job interviews:
Take pride in your achievements: Take advantage of the portfolio introduction slides in my template to highlight your accomplishments and showcase the highlights of your previous roles. Be sure to align these achievements with the specific company you're applying to, emphasising how your experience can benefit them.
Keep it short and sweet: Avoid overwhelming your presentation with excessive text. Instead, use bullet points to outline key information and talk through your slides during the interview. Remember, the template is designed to support your spoken presentation, so focus on delivering a clear and engaging narrative.
Go wild with rich media: Enhance your presentation by incorporating multimedia elements like images, videos, and snapshots. These additions can make your portfolio more visually appealing and help it stand out from the rest. Be strategic in selecting relevant and impactful media that supports your story and demonstrates your skills.
