It's hard, but you've got this

If you're struggling with your career, here's something you need to hear. Job hunting is tough. Interviews, applications, and portfolios are not fun. NOT FUN AT ALL! And guess what? Even when you get that job, it's hard!

The truth is easy: it never gets easy. Product design is hard work. You might lose your job, your visa, or need to relocate. You find a new gig, but it's overwhelming and you burn out. You make good money but worry about losing it. You’re not just having a “busy day”… it's a busy life!

But here's the thing: if it's going to be hard anyway, why not make it fun? Start your own business, join a company you're passionate about, go where you want to be (and where the money is).

Maybe this is what you needed to hear today. Working in tech is a privilege. In most countries, UX salaries are higher than average, and we can work from anywhere! You don't need to find your "why" here, but your "hey, I'm gonna be okay!"

Remember, it's not about finding your purpose in this career. It's about recognising that you've got this, no matter what challenges come your way. So keep pushing forward, and don't forget to enjoy the ride!
